Dolphin Gîtes is a family run gîte complex in the delightful village of La Chaize-Giraud, only 5km from the seaside town of Brétignolles-sur-mer, in the North of Vendée. The gîte complex comprises of 5 cottages and one holiday house, all within easy access of the heated swimming pool. 

The accommodation consists of a range of independent character stone cottages surrounded by spacious landscaped gardens, in the shadow of a beautiful 12th century church. The on-site facilities include the heated pool, a children’s play-area and table-tennis.

Dolphin Gites is only a few minute's drive from the beautiful Vendee beach resorts of Bretignolles-sur-mer, St Gilles Croix-de-vie and Les Sables d'Olonne. 

The restoration of gite 6 is now finished. The gite is full of character with original oak beams and exposed stone walls. The gite is fully equipped with washing machine, UK satellite TV, etc. and has a superb aspect overlooking the rear gardens.

On site there is a heated swimming pool, table tennis, children's play area, and large lawns ideal for all types of ball games. Children over the age of 12 are allowed to camp in the garden by special request.

The large landscaped gardens  are open to all our guests, no matter which gite you decide to book.  All our gites are located in the same delightful grounds, near enough to one another to to feel a part of a small community, but at the same time allowing you to enjoy your privacy. Pictured below (left), gite 5 is full of old-world charm with exposed beams and old stone walls in the living-room. 

Our most spacious accommodation, gite 4, can accommodate 8 people comfortably. Gites 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 are all well equipped gites, and can comfortably accommodate from 3 to 6 persons. Have a look at the specifications for all our gites and decide which one is best suited to your family requirements (gites 2 and 4, pictured below). 

The Vendee is famous for its good weather, beautiful countryside and great beaches.

Our gites are ideal for children, having large enclosed gardens, play area, enclosed heated swimming pool,  swings and most importantly, other children to play with. The owners have 3 children. 

The swimming pool is heated in all weathers and does not rely on the sun, therefore you can enjoy the pool every day from May until September, even in the unlikely event that the sun is not shining.

For those who are interested in meeting people, we provide our guests with the opportunity to get together once a week for a aperitif evening. The aperatif is entirely optional, and very informal. Enjoy a few drinks whilst the children are playing in the garden.
